‘Think Piece’ Post on International Medical Emergency Consulting Issues Announced by IMG GlobalSecur

February 7, 2016 by Lee McDonald

New York, NY – January 30, 2016. IMG GlobalSecur, a leading international security consulting firm, is proud to announce an informative ‘think piece’ post has been placed on its blog discussing the advantages of having outside consultants to assist in creating plans for overseas employee medical emergencies. Many human resources managers and senior executives are charged with international security planning for their organizations, but in this age of rapid change, may feel overwhelmed at conducting a security audit.

Employee Medical Emergency Abroad“A second pair of eyes can help immensely during a security audit of any type,” explained Chris Hagon, CEO of IMG GlobalSecur. “Medical emergencies overseas are among the most common, but that does not make international security planning any less important.”

To read the ‘think piece’ in its entirety, please visit https://www.theimg.com/blog/2016/01/medical-emergency/. Interested parties are reminded that the security needs of any organization are unique, and that only a qualified professional can conduct that kind of thorough security audit that may be required for overseas employee travel and operations.

Employee Medical Emergencies Abroad: Not a Good Time To Improvise!

Because a medical emergency abroad can lead to a confusing set of questions about responsibility, it is an extremely good idea to devise an employee medical emergency plan before employees travel abroad; or if they are already abroad, or a company has on-going employee and executives overseas, now is the time to plan rather than “in a crisis.” Injured people are not generally not known for their ability quickly developing a solid and cogent “Plan B”. As a fall-back the consulate of one’s home country (e.g., USA, UK, France, etc.) is always a place to turn to for help. But taking care of a company’s employees may not be their primary mission; what to an employee and her family may seem like a huge emergency (e.g., an appendicitis event, or broken knee from skiing) may not seem like a true emergency to the staff of consulates or embassies that are more charged with watching for political emergencies.

This is only one of the ideas put forth in this important ‘think piece’ article.
